Look Who's Reclassified!

Congratulations to Samantha Herrera (6th grade) for reclassifying to a Reclassified Fluent English Proficient status. She has worked extremely hard to reach and maintain high California English Language Development Test (CELDT) and California Standards Test (CST) along with her Language Arts grades.  Our goal here at Elysian Heights School is for all English Language Learners (ELLs) to reclassify.

U. S. THE BRONZE AWARD

Congratulations  to the students, parents, faculty, and staff of Elysian Heights Elementary School on achieving the Bronze Award in the Healthier US School Challenge.  Elysian Heights was awarded $500.00 towards our cafeteria upgrade. This Challenge is a cornerstone of Let's Move!, an ambitious initiative to solve childhood obesity.

As a winner of the Bronze Award, our school is considered among the very best of the best.  First Lady Michelle Obama acknowledges us for promoting health and wellness in our students and  community.

VALET PARKING VOLUNTEERS

Elysian Heights is seeking  parent volunteers to assist with our valet drop off on Valentine Street.  Valet Parking is available M-F beginning at 7:15 a.m. -7:50 a.m.  Please contact Ms. Herrera @ 323.665.6315 if you are interested in volunteering for our Valet Parking.  We need parent volunteers.
